In the article "Individuals in Groups", by Carol Travis, it is published in the Los Angeles Times, 1991. The author states that people act differently when they are in the groups than individuals. When something danger occur , people in individuals can call a help and sometimes risk their proper life; however, in the groups they seat back. the author has showed some experiences in article that individuals group response in majority than the groups. In addition, the more people in the groups the more they are interdependent and they think everything has being taken care; additionally, I believe the author is right because people in the groups will rely to each other.
The author mentioned that"But if they are in the group observing the same danger, they hold back" I think this is true because none of them don't want to waste the times when they are there for the same purpose. They will keep looking at each other face to who can intervene. For example, when I used work in messenger center, we were six people.Anytime we received delivery, we seemed like busy, but not and we began to look at each other face. It took several minutes before someone decided to act. People in the groups are lazy  and they don't make things work fast also properly unless they have to direct them.
Warehouse I make delivery now. No one wants unload the van. When I ask someone, he sends me to the other and vis-versa. The author noticed the passage that" But the students who were sitting in the groups of the three did not move" I support the author idea because they think someone already did the job. People in the groups don't like other person in the group tell what to do. Everybody thinks big and they think better than other. These people in the groups sometimes always argue for the jobs. One can say I did many things so is other person turn. Also, people in the groups are not responsible. In order to get work done in the groups, each individual has to be responsible, sometimes that can make a work to be done.
In conclusion, the author states that people act differently when they are in the groups than in an individual. People in the groups rely on each other and they take their times to do a work. Moreover, people in the group always sit there before they act because they don't want one in the group tells other to do job. Also, someone who has done a lot and can point other person to do something too. I think people in the groups should be signed for the work because everyone will make sure that a work has to be done on time and fast.

  1. Hi Mohamed, I'm Elba from an ENG220 class and I'm writing to you to try and help both of us. The class I'm taking has offered us an opportunity to leave some feedback on the blogs of students who are at the start of their college careers as we approach the end of ours at La Guardia. Thank you for helping me by letting me read your blog and hopefully I can return the favor with some constructive criticism.
I like that you are adding from your own experience to support the author's views. It was good to see you making use of quotes. Sometimes when we begin writing about our personal experiences that can take over our papers. I know I am guilty of this myself. This leads to other challenges like interrupting our essay format i.e. introduction paragraph, supporting paragraph, and closing paragraph. Your last paragraph that starts with "Warehouse" and ends with "fast" needs more from the article and possibly a restating of your main point regarding the article. I am sure this essay, with a little revision, will turn out great. Hope this helps. Thank you again.
